Evolution (by Sokol Blosser) Big Time Red, Columbia Valley, Oregon, USA 2023

This is a big red blend using a couple of traditional Italian varietals and one traditional French varietal. Also, like the French Rhones we add a splash of white wine, just a small percentage of our Evolution Lucky No. 9 White, to bring in another layer of complexity that lifts the aromatics, color and flavor. Rich flavors of cherry and plum pie filling, black cherry and red currants abound, with the daintiest hints of savory notes throughout.
