Domaine Melanie Pfister

Domaine Mélanie Pfister — Alsace, France

Modern dry Alsace—mineral, precise and highly food-friendly.

Overview

Domaine Mélanie Pfister is an 8th-generation family estate located in Dahlenheim in the Bas-Rhin, northern Alsace. The domaine dates back to 1780 and is now led by Mélanie Pfister, who represents a new wave of Alsace winemakers focused on precision, terroir expression and dry wine styles. The vineyards are planted on limestone-rich slopes with cooler climatic conditions compared to southern Alsace, favouring the production of elegant, mineral wines, particularly Riesling. The estate has transitioned to organic farming and incorporates biodynamic practices, with minimal intervention in the cellar and a focus on native yeast fermentation. The resulting wines are pure, refined and highly expressive of their terroir.
