Union Wine Company
Union Wine Company – Oregon
Oregon made accessible: craft-focused wines without the fuss, built for everyday enjoyment.
Overview
Union Wine Company was founded in 2005 by Ryan Harms in Oregon’s Willamette Valley with the aim of making high-quality wines more accessible without compromising on craftsmanship. Rejecting traditional winery models, Harms built the business around efficiency and scale, creating what he describes as an “industrial château” focused on quality fruit and streamlined production.
The winery sources grapes from leading growers across Oregon, working with cool-climate vineyard sites that benefit from diverse soils and maritime influences. Winemaking is overseen by Meredith McGough, combining technical precision with a relaxed philosophy to produce balanced, fruit-forward wines. Known for pioneering premium canned wine through the Underwood label, Union has helped redefine how wine is consumed while maintaining a focus on approachability and consistency.
