Overview

Domaine Philippe Germain is based in Nantoux in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, close to Meursault and Pommard, and represents a quietly respected family estate in Burgundy. Philippe Germain took over the domaine in the mid-1990s and has since expanded vineyard holdings across several key Côte de Beaune appellations, working alongside his nephew Maxime Champaud.

The vineyards are situated at higher altitudes on clay-limestone soils, which help preserve freshness and acidity, particularly important in warmer vintages. The estate is certified HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale), with a strong focus on sustainable viticulture, biodiversity and soil health. In the cellar, the approach is gentle and precise, with selective use of oak, producing wines that emphasise purity, balance and classic Burgundian finesse.
