Champagne Gyejacquot

Champagne Gyéjacquot — Côte des Bars, Champagne

Pinot-driven Champagne—approachable, balanced and reliable.

Overview

Founded in 1970 by Michel and Daniel Gyéjacquot, this family-owned Champagne house is based in Celles-sur-Ource in the Côte des Bars, a region increasingly recognised for its high-quality Pinot Noir. The estate spans multiple vineyard parcels across clay-limestone soils, rich in Kimmeridgian formations, which contribute both fruit intensity and a subtle mineral backbone. The vineyards are planted primarily with Pinot Noir, alongside Chardonnay and smaller amounts of Pinot Blanc, allowing for a diverse blending palette. The winemaking philosophy focuses on preserving fruit purity through gentle extraction and controlled fermentation, producing Champagnes that are accessible yet well-balanced. The resulting style is fresh, rounded and reliable, making it particularly suitable for both casual and professional settings.
