Domaine de Chaude Ecuelle

Domaine de Chaude Écuelle is a multi-generational family estate in the Chablis region, run today by the Vilain family. Developed over the 20th century from small grower holdings, the domaine transitioned from selling bulk wine to bottling its own production under Gabriel and Lucette Vilain.

The vineyards are planted on classic Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils rich in fossilised marine sediments, which give Chablis its distinctive mineral profile. Farming is entirely family-led, with traditional, hands-on vineyard work and sustainable practices. Winemaking is done in stainless steel to preserve freshness and terroir expression, producing clean, mineral-driven Chablis from Petit Chablis through to Premier Cru sites.
