Buehler
Buehler – Napa Valley, California
Mountain-grown Napa value: family farming, low yields, and classic Cabernet character.
Overview
Buehler Vineyards is a family-owned Napa Valley estate founded in the early 1970s by John and Helen Buehler, with its first commercial vintage released in 1978. Located in the hills above Conn Valley, the estate spans over 300 acres, planted primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel. Today, the winery remains in the hands of the Buehler family across multiple generations, maintaining a strong focus on consistency, value and long-term vineyard stewardship.
The hillside vineyards sit on warm, well-drained soils that produce ripe yet structured wines, while surrounding forests help preserve a distinct microclimate. The estate combines traditional farming practices with careful vineyard management, including dry-farmed parcels. Long-time winemaker David Cronin has overseen production since the early 1990s, crafting wines that balance Napa generosity with restraint and approachability.
